Why Bundu Tours?

The word “Bundu” (also written Bundo) probably comes from the Shona language, a native tribe of southern Africa. Bundo in Shona means something like grassland / steppe. The word was adopted by the immigrant Europeans as Bundu and is mainly used today in connection with camping when you go into the wilderness, into the vastness, into solitude: “We are going to the Bundus this weekend” means something like: we are driving into the wilderness this weekend- in the bush for camping.

Bundu Tours offers you the unique opportunity to experience our beautiful country in individual, tailor-made trips in a small group under personal care with experienced tour guides who know the country. It is very important to us to arrange your trip according to your personal wishes and interests – our guests are often “repeat offenders” who have already traveled to Namibia and have chosen special delicacies that they would like to visit outside the normal tourist routes. But guests who come to Namibia for the first time and have studied the country are always welcome.

Our specialty is tailor-made trips into parts of the country, which are offered by very few tour operators – the reason: you need all-terrain vehicles (all-wheel drive vehicles) and only a limited number of participants (maximum 12 guests in 4 vehicles, minimum 6 guests in 2 vehicles) per trip can be taken.
